Hello guys this is coach slone (chalice)! Try to spell it right! I appreciate the pub from you basketball rules but no need! As for my coaching record! and we can sit down and look through the books anytime you want to it is 427 and 96! I believe that Inez won 5 total conference championships and WMS won 2, so that was 7 all together for our county in 13 years! As for Coach SMith, he was a great guy and a good coach! However, my head to head record was 18-11 and 5-0 the last year we played against them! Just ask BJ he will tell you! The two years before that he was 4-0 against me and my kids and had some very good teams! But wins and losses are alot more about talent and not coaching! Did I also mention a 7th grade state AAU championship as an assistant? You should check out the River City Hurricanes! I think that we may have also won the Pikeville AAU league a time or two. The last three records that I had was 24-5 with Channing Smith and company, the next year I think that we were 43-5 (consolidation year) and a conference banner with great kids like Eddie Ferrel (not given a chance to play), Bj Jarrell, Justin Johnson, Dave, Derek Mollet and I think it may be up in both gyms if not I can send you some pics! The last year I coached we were 19-5 and third in the conference and probably would have won the whole thing if it wasn't for a very well coached team by Bobby Varney from Belfry. So, what I am saying is I guess you are right! I cannot coach! I admit I am not Rick Pitino or someone like that but I think that my little guys deserve a little bit of slack! I would also like to say thanks to my little C team at IES that went 12-0 and to my little tigers at paintsville that recently won a BCI championship at the Knott Co complex. I really think that if we can through out enough money we may be able to land Billy Gilespie! I hear he is still looking to land a new job! The books are at my house anytime you want to come up and look, heck I may even have some videos! Thanks, for proving me right in that people like you are truly class acts! Chalice Slone

Good post Coach! Sorry about the spelling. I am sorry because it was me that prolly brought your name into this mess. I still wish you wold think about the job. Going back to the topic, I really do wonder who we will get for a new coach? I still keep hearing Larry James and JJ James! I think that they would do a good job at least as good as anyone else that we can get. Who would really want a job were the people talk about everyone instead of rooting for them? I wold like to get some dvd's off of you if you still have some. Peace out man!
