Point is, Sewell did the same thing ALL YEAR against the best in the state. Justice had a good sweet 16 against the less competitive bottom bracket and wins the award.

I'm willing to bet that had the voting been done before the sweet 16, Sewell gets the award. Look at how many sweet 16 tourney mvp's (seniors) have won Mr. Basketball over the years and then compare it to how many votes they received for first team all state. You'll be surprised...which goes in to my whole theory that politics are a major factor of who wins Mr. Basketball.

Of course Justice probably got all of his stats against that terrible 15th region.

I know Trinity played against the best in the state because they were in the 7th region but Shelby Valley did play 2 state runner-up teams and beat 1 state champion out of Georgia.

I am not really comparing schedules just stats and if you look at the stats then they are pretty equal. Either player could have won it but Justice did maybe because of Sweet 16 maybe not.
