I mean no disrespect at all, and East Ridge is going to have a good season next year. They should win several games, and I will be very happy for them.
The reason I made the comment about playing each other (SV-PCC) instead of the contract games (SV - Phelps/ PCC - ER ) is because last season this was the most highly anticipated game, and the crown was standing room only. That atmosphere was great, and a good show was put on between the teams.
Since East Ridge became a school, I believe theyre 0-16 against Shelby Valley and Pike Central. I have no idea the last time Phelps beat these two schools, or if they ever have. This fact aside, I didnt mean to really put the matchups down, Its just that Shelby Valley is always going to get a bigger crown out when they play Pike Central.
The last time Shelby Valley was scheduled to play Phelps, in the Pike County Bowl. The score was Valley 79 - Phelps 6. This isnt good football for players, fans , coaches etc.
