I attended my first state tournament in 1971 and since that time I have seen 33 state tournaments which includes a streak since 1986 without missing one.
The 2010 state tournament was as strong as most. There were about 6 teams that could have won this year's tournament. Of those 6, each would have been in the hunt each and every year.
Many times the most talent does not win the tournament, but the TEAM that is playing the best that week. SV is alot like Breckinridge who won the tournament years ago. They won it with team work, passing, defense, and rebounding. This year they were the best in those areas.
They were not the fastest, highest jumping, or physical team in the tournament. But they were the best TEAM and their effort this year would have won several past tournaments.
