Scott Co. Scouting Report
#19
Bluemoon Wrote:Mercy was and is a much superior team to yours and they could figure out what to do-you did get beat by double figures with your report.Enough said!!!!!

:thatsfunn First off I want to make you aware Belfry is not my team on the complete contrary I am a Pike Central supporter. Just so you are aware we and Belfry have a very rich rivalry in girls basketball. Secondly you still havent answered my question to you based off my report what did they do differently? I will answer it for you they did nothing differently. Scott is a great team and have a rich tradition of greatness, yes they were the better team. Just so you know a scouting report CAN be correct and a team still lose. Also with that the same Scott Co. team relienqushed a 15 point lead numerous times the lead shrinking to 2 late in the 4th quarter. One area that the report was spot on was when looking at their presses which is where Scott. Co. prides themselves. Belfry's guards made the mistake numerous times not getting the ball in the middle of the court because no one was flashing middle and drove themselves into traps, resulting in turnovers. This same Belfry team that you refered to as "MY" team also were 28 point underdogs going into this game and were ruled out before the game was even played. That same team forced the state runner-ups to go away from their game plan and took away the tre, which kept Scott in the game against Mercy and won the semifinal game for them. If you want to discuss where the report is wrong then feel free, but by watching EVERY Scott Co. game during their run to the finals + the finals there is very little that they done differently even though you apparently think they have a trillion things in their arsenal and if they do they did not show it in any games I have seen. Same man to man defense, same presses, same offense, same transition game. The thing with them is they have 3 to 4 girls who can drop 20 on you a night while the others role play. Thus, it makes hard to determine how to play them defensivly so you pick your poision, take the 3 away and you have to cutt of the lane which is what Belfry did and they did not account for Stainback, as I said she rarely looks for the 3 and would rather get into the lane on you. Once again making a report for a 28 point underdog, the team scouted made the state finals, the same team did not do anything different but run a zone for minimal minutes because they got in foul trouble, had a chance to have the lead late, hit your freethrows and have an even better chance to win it and still only lose by 11 after you started fouling. I'll take that as a succeful scouting report. A scouting report is something to build a game plan around, all announcers I spoke to said Mounts game plan was great. Thus, ill take the PROFFESIONALS out look and say it was pretty spot on. Confusedhh:
