I'm pretty much a republican through and through. I feel that big government hinders the progress of the American people and that we should and must be deeply rooted in religous morallity and a strong military. I also believe that the greatest threat to our government is the govermental system itself. Our government was never intended to be a two party system. The writers of the Constitution acknowledged this and fought, though briefly, to prevent this from happening. I feel that if we eliminated parties and had people work and vote on merit and ideas not party lines many of our problems would be fixed. I also feel that we should allow more competition in the private sector to fix our national problems such as fuel, health care, and banking. I also believe that our government needs to be more pro-business and industry. This will help to strengthen our economy and drive us back to the international power that we once were. We need to return to the thoughts that our presidents pushed for during the booming eras of our past. A return to normalcy as I believe Harding or Wilson put it. A car in every driveway. These were thoughts of building our country up so that its self sustaining that we have gotten away from. Now we're almost a what can my country do for me nation. Kids being raised with their hands out looking for Uncle Sam to place something in it instead of being taught that you can do anything you want. I think that we as a nation are on a slippery slope right now and the next couple of years may alter our country so that it may never be the once great nation she was.
