Shelby Valley's annual weak schedule, don't stroke out

UnderArmour24 Wrote:If you count the tournaments Valley travel to and play in and win games against top competition from other states and in state and play games against christian county and miller grove GA and win the all A state championship again this year it isnt that weak. They have to choice but to play some of there region and district components which are extremely weak. But it would be a false statement to say they havent played any competition IMO.
You are kidding right??????

Look at every other top team in KY and compare their schedule to Shelby Valley's. To say that SV has played no competition IS wrong. They have played ONE competitive game all season, Christian Co. Several of the top teams in the state play very few in-region games except for district games. Look at Trinity, Scott Co., GRC, Lex Cath, Ballard etc. Those teams play more out-of-region games than in-region games (excluding the mandatory district games).

And if you think the competition in the All A State Tournament is top competition you are sadly mistaken. There was not a ranked team in the whole tournament except for Shelby Valley.

I don't think people are saying that Shelby Valley is a bad team, they are just saying that they play a "Patsy" schedule. I know for a fact a paticular top team in the state tried to schedule a home/away game with them this year and they would not play them.

This is not the players fault, the schedule is totally under the Athletic Directors and Varsity Coaches area of responsibility.
