For those who weren't there, this score may be somewhat misleading. Holmes led by 7 or more practically the whole game until the last 2 minutes or so.

First quarter, the game started out with Campbell co shooting two free throws because of a tech called on sophomore Hunter Hoskins for dunking during pregame warms ups while the refs were on the floor. CC made 1 free throw and then Jolly scored on their first possession to give the Camels a 3-0 lead right out the gate. Holmes would close out the quarter on a 14-4 run and led the Camels 14-7 at the end of one.

Second quarter, Holmes scored first on a Slusher lay in down low but CC responded with a 5-0 run to close within 4 at 16-12. J. Johnson then made a 3 and Avery made 1 of 2 free throws to put Holmes back up 8 at 20-12. Both teams then traded baskets before a Wolf 3 pointer closed Holmes lead back to 5 at 22-17. Holmes scored the next 4 points and a Pittman dunk gave Holmes a 26-17 lead. Geiman then scored for CC and we'd head in to the half with Holmes up 7 at 26-19.

Third quarter both teams traded baskets out of the half but a J. Johnson put back gave Holmes a 10 point lead at 32-22. An Elijah Pittman put back gave Holmes a 12 point lead at 34-22 but a Nate McGovney 3 pointer and a Smith jumper pulled the Camels back to within 7 at 34-27. Jaydale Herndon stepped up at the other end though hitting a 3 that keyed a 7-2 run to put Holmes back up 12 at 41-29. Elijah Pittman then picked up his 2nd and 3rd fouls within 10 second of eachother and CC made one of 2 free throws to send the game in to the 4th 41-30, advantage Holmes.

With Pittman in foul trouble, Holmes started the 4th quarter without him and we wouldn't see the big fella again until the 3:51 mark. With Pittman on the bench, CC went on a 5-0 run to start the 4th to close the gap to 41-35 but another Herndon 3 pushed the lead back out to 9 at 44-35. Geiman responded at the other end to close the gap to 44-38 but Holmes scored at the other end to go back up by 8 at 46-38 with 5:04 left. Jolly then keyed a 5-0 run by the Camels to make the score 46-43 with around 4 minutes left. Pittman then came back in the game and Holmes would extend their lead out to 7 at 50-43 with under 3 mins to play. Jolly responded with a big 3 to make it 50-46 and Holmes would call a timeout with 1:11 left. Out of the timeout, Holmes turned the ball over and then after getting a defensive stop at the other end, turned the ball over again on their next possession trying to pass the ball around the perimeter. McGovney then came down and hit a big basket from the free throw line with around 30 seconds to play to cut the lead to 2. Holmes held the ball until the 8 second mark when Ricardo Johnson was finally fouled. Ricardo then missed the front end of a 1 and 1 and here is where things, IMO, turned. JJ got a big offense rebound and as he went to start dribbling the ball out, the ref calls a HORRIBLE LATE call offensive foul and says he went over the back. Camels call a timeout with 7.2 second left and came down and called another timeout with 4 seconds left. Camels set up a play for Smith at the top of the key but his 3 is too strong and Holmes wins 50-48.
