I agree 100 percent. Everyone thought the top bracket last year was nowhere near the lower bracket, then L'ville Central comes out of nowhere and darn near wins the whole enchilada. What are the odds of Region 2 (Christian County) vs. Region 9 (Holmes) in the first round for a second year in a row, with the winner probably facing the winner of Scott County vs. LexCath yet another year? Probably 200-1. (CC and Holmes might be two of the best four teams in the state.) When they draw the seeds, they ought to do something to avoid what I just described. The KHSAA ought to work harder to develop a better system to ensure different districts square off every year. I'd rather see that than seeding the top 8 teams in the Sweet 16.

so your idea is this:
for example, if region 1 plays region 2 this year, then next year they can play any region EXCEPT each other? this would be possible, but tricky to make work since every region will have a condition on who they can draw...
