I dont know why people have to bring the size of the school into question. The comment that the tourney would be better with out a team like Valley... I mean come on, that does not belong here. The All A tourney gives a fair shot for kids in small schools (which usually do not have the same type of athletes as bigger schools-have more students to pick from), and lets them compete on a statewide stage. Valley would not be playing if the school was not of appropriate enrollment for the "A" status.

Good post. I agree the All A gives some small schools a chance to compete on a big stage. The teams that represent their region in Richmond usually have no or little chance at doing the same come March in Rupp. It just happens that the 15th region is mad up of mostly smaller schools so the chance is greater that the same team wins both. The All A classification is not the same as what the KHSAA sets for football. Just about every team in the 15th has played in the All A except JC, Belfry & Pike Central. I am not a die hard Valley fan but do think they are a very good team and I support any team that represents our region in any tourny. I think Valley has a great shot at winning it all and will be a tough out for any team. I also think there are going to be a few teams that Valley will have a hard time putting out. Competition, that is why I love going to this tournament every year.
