Our state is loaded with a lot of talent. I think a lot of these players are underrated nationally because most of our better teams have competed with the nations top teams this season. Wish some more of our players got more credit from recruiting websites like Rivals.com, Scout.com, etc.

One of the biggest reasons a lot of KY players don't get more credit nationally is because of the amount of talent they have around them.

A lot of the nation's best players play on "one man show" teams and that's why they receive the attention they do. Our teams are also more disciplined and play "team ball" which is why it's hard for some players to stand out. A lot of it also comes back to the AAU team you play for over the summer. If you aren't playing for a team who competes in the best tournaments, it's tougher to get noticed. This is one of the reasons why Ricardo Johnson didn't start receiving a lot more interest until this past summer.

Ge'Lawn Guyn is the only player rated top 150 from KY according to Rivals.

Maxpreps has both Ricardo Johnson and Elijah Pittman in their top 100.

Josh Sewell is extremely underrated nationally.
