Scott Co loses another heart breaker to National power Cedar Hill Tx

Cedar Hill (TX) edged Scott County (Georgetown, KY) 47-46 to earn third place at the 29th annual Bach Ball Classic.

In a game that featured 13 lead changes and a pair of ties, Cedar Hill (15-3) took the lead for good with 5:31 to play on a Tanner Milson 3-pointer. The Longhorns built a 46-42 lead on Thomas Gipson's two free throws with 2:05 on the clock.

Austin Flannery responded on the ensuing posession with a long trey that cut the lead to 46-45 at the 1:46 mark. Gipson made one of two free throws with 0:44 to play. Scott County's Chad Jackson was fouled with 0:38 to go but missed the first free throw before making the second to pull the Cardinals to within on eat 47-46.

Oliver Wells missed a pair of free throws, giving Scott County the chance for a win. Isaiah Ivey missed on a layup attempt but the Cardinals got one more opportunity with 1.9 seconds remaining when the ball bounced down the court and out of bounds off of Cedar Hill. Ge-Lawn Guyn's attempted 3-pointer at the buzzer was wide left of the rim.

Cedar Hill was led by Milson's 19 points, while Gipson added 12 points and six rebounds. Scott County's Chad Jackson led all scorers with 21 points and also added 13 rebounds.
