I agree. Fouls can also change the tempo and momentum of a game (which is what happened in the third quarter of the championship game at the AIT).

The whole issue of the fouls called in this instance, is driven by the cries in the pre-game threads that Bobby Kouns would be calling the game, and cheating for Ashland. Several people threw that accusation out there, but so far, I've only seen 16BBallFan post any type of retraction.

The funny thing about it is, if most people really knew Kouns, they would know that he really couldn't care less if it snows oats during a game. While someone may think he is blind, deaf and dumb, no one can ever accuse him of having rabbit ears.

Very well said Super Squid. When Ashland was taking it on the chin in the
2nd period they took some pretty hard calls and some no calls. You just expect that the championship game is going to get rough. It's funny though, Mason's success in the 2nd period was ok but, Ashland's success in the 3rd was because the refs were cheating if you follow the logic of some on here. It's laughable to read fans bellyaching after having won the AIT. If the Tomcats are getting any help from officiating it's so suttle I can't seem to pick up on it! These guys (refs) aren't perfect but they're not going to go out and cheat ANYBODY into the winners' circle. Next I guess, we'll have to include crying towels in with the awards ceremony.:igiveup:
