There are several things more important than the total number of fouls.

1. Who the foul is called on.
2. When was the foul called.
3. Under what circumstances was the foul called.

I agree. Fouls can also change the tempo and momentum of a game (which is what happened in the third quarter of the championship game at the AIT).

The whole issue of the fouls called in this instance, is driven by the cries in the pre-game threads that Bobby Kouns would be calling the game, and cheating for Ashland. Several people threw that accusation out there, but so far, I've only seen 16BBallFan post any type of retraction.

The funny thing about it is, if most people really knew Kouns, they would know that he really couldn't care less if it snows oats during a game. While someone may think he is blind, deaf and dumb, no one can ever accuse him of having rabbit ears.
