You know an awful lot about UT to be a Duke fan. He did struggle against better teams, but most QB's struggled against the likes of Florida and Alabama. Crompton was as close to horrible as you can be at the first of the season, but turned his season around and only Mallett from Arkansas has more passing yards and touchdowns in the SEC. Also, I wouldn't be so fast to dismiss UT's schedule. If memory serves me right, 9 of the 12 teams we played are in bowl games. Home games or not, I'd put that up against most of the other SEC schedules. You can't tell me that the way he was playing from mid-way through the season until now, he isn't one of the better QB's in the SEC, in what was a down year for QB's in the conference anyway.

Not hard to google. He was an average quarterback on an average team.
