One thing that officials do, they work hard, they do their job and if coaches would concentrate more on coaching than yelling and trying to get an official to throw a bogus flag for whatever the reason, the staff may do a little better job in their job.

You can tell the teams, the great teams, coaches coach, kids play the game and the officials manage the game. Really, how many of you guys want to go to a game, or coach a game that last 3-4 hours? That is the kind of game you would get IF officials threw flags straight by the book. What I mean to say is that great officials have a philosophy that they manage a game based on advantage/disadvantage and point of attack ruling, safety etc. Your great officials are not going to call your little face mask or hand in the neutral zone, or your small grasp of the shirt, or your blocked in the side of the back etc. They're going to call fouls that are UGLY, the ones that stick out, the ones that are going to hurst someone such as clipping, block in the middle of the back, face mask, holding that is at the point of attack, hits out of bounds, taunting etc..... That is the seperation between good and great officials.

I understand we have officials that lack in this area but most of you are complaining about officials that call the great game, understand, someone is holding every single play, do you want that to be called?

Otherwise, if you attend a game this Friday, these officials calling are the great officials from their association they call from, they are your lawyers, teachers, coaches(from other sports) bankers, fathers, sons and they don't drive around the state to manage a football game to take from a child, a team, a coach or a community. They do it because they love the game, action, the sport or working with our youth.
