There are PLENTY of passing plays off of the full house backfield that JC could work on to STRETCH the field. That's the key. Screens and dump passes don't stretch the field. If JC can keep teams from putting 10 in the box, then the backs will have a MUCH better chance of breaking the long gainers. They also need to DEVELOP players to play in a two platoon system. HHS offensive linemen did not play any defense. Dale made a concerted effort to NOT play them on D. Many of those guys were FINE DEFENSIVE players but Dale wanted them fresh and concentrated them on offense only. Roller was the teams BEST tight end, yet he only played defense. Playing kids both ways, in the long run, is a detriment to the overall team. Besides...it gets more kids on the field and keeps the Ft. T parents off his back (LOL). It CAN be done at JC!
