Pike Central gets no love from the Appalachain News Express

The nite pike central beat sc I coulndnt pick it up. But I could listen to sf and ac I think. And we all know that pikeville will be on 103.1 and belfry will be on 96.5 and prestonsburg has 95.5 covered regardless of who they are playing. The best idea anyone has had is putting 93.1 up for going back and forth. Kudos to whoever thought about that. 107.5 don't carry ball games and that's cool. But then u got all these smaller stations who carry some of the smaller teams. So when I can't listen I'd like to be able to read about it and see that the community does care about the other pike county team but once again NASCAR and the big two get all the coverage

I understand the frustration, believe me. However, if you look at the PC situation objectively, they are just now deserving what I would call, "every game" coverage. The product has not really lived up to having every game broadcast. Even this season has not been beautiful until this last run. However, you take it for what it is. They are rolling right now and have a great shot this Friday night. I have went over myself and covered SC/PC. Joe Kinzer and I went over there in '07 because Belfry had played Magoffin on Thursday night. We were both sicker than dogs, but we wanted to do the game. It was at SC. I agree, it would have been nice to have SC and PC on the air, but the numbers game won out. I think all the PC folks should enjoy where they are at, and maybe if the success continues, then the coverage of their games will be expanded.
