More details: Greg Raglin scored three touchdowns and the visiting Knights put the game away in the third quarter to advance to the third round of the Class 4A playoffs.
Raglin put LexCath on the scoreboard first with a 20-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Nic Ward midway through the first quarter.
Holmes̢۪ Jesse Jenson hit Desean Peterson for a 46-yard touchdown later in the quarter to tie it, but the Knights̢۪ Benton Hupman kicked a 40-yard field goal on the next possession to give LexCath the lead for good.
Raglin added a 5-yard touchdown run and another scoring catch from Ward in the third quarter to put the Knights ahead 26-7.
Raglin ran 29 times for 183 yards and caught four of Catholic̢۪s seven completed passed for 71 yards.
After the Bulldogs̢۪ only touchdown, the Knights̢۪ defense forced three turnovers on Holmes̢۪ final five possessions. The Bulldogs got into LexCath territory only once in the final three quarters, a possession that ended with an interception at the Knights 7.
Lexington Catholic earned a rematch with Boyle County in next week̢۪s third round. The Rebels handed the Knights a 21-13 loss on Oct. 10
