I've never seen so many things go against any team in so short a time (last 5 mins.) in such an important game. Prestonsburg was up 12-0 :

1. Safety (why only one back, anyway?) bites on a play-fake and Cards hit a >50 yd. pass down the middle.

2. Prestonsburg with bad snap attempting to punt.

3. After a return to the Mayfield 6 on a long return, and a short run on first down, an inside TD run is nullified on a holding call.

4. FG attempt from 40 yds missed inches to the left. The kick would have been GOOD on high school (wider) goalposts.


I saw the supposed "hold"...it was a dropping tackle that hit a blitzing OLB, knocking him backward in the backfield. This had happened every time P-burg had run the inside trap - but this was the FIRST time it was flagged.

But still, without the 3 big P-burg errors (only 1 safety back, the safety stepping up on the play-fake, and not executing the punt), the Blackcats would have won.

I think that Blackcat Team should have won it all because of the monumental win they had vs. Danville the week before. That has to going from an all-time high to an all-time low without a doubt.
