David Elson, WKU's head football coach, was fired today. He'll be allowed to coach out the rest of the season, but he's done after the season. Here's the link:

Tough break for coach Elson. It'll be interesting to see who they pick up. It's a curious move since they are hosting the state finals there. They also have a home game on Thursday, December 3rd, the day before the finals are set to begin. I wonder if the firing will now sway potential players to attend WKU or if they need a new head coach in the next few weeks in order to get the recruits needed?
