Nobody said the first bad word about Paintsville there son. Why are you saying you were so defensive? You are the one that started the academic superiority crap out of nowhere. Again I stress, you dont know a stinkin thing about what you are even talking about.

By the way, I have a few Paintsville grads that work for me. You all teach how to tie shoes over there? I've had to teach a few along the way little simple stuff such as that too. Got news for you sonny, all of you aint Einsteins over there either.

Kimball, that's over the line ("how to tie shoes" "sonny" ?!? - c'mon!!). There's few things more offensive than an educated hillbilly who uses language in such a manner.

In this region there are two schools that vie for being "best" academically every year - Paintsville and Pikeville. Central is a fine school, don't get me wrong, but academics is NOT where Central wants to be compared to Paintsville. For the record, I DO know a "stinkin" thing about it.

Now...

I don't think academics have a thing to do with Paintsville's current athletic weakness. IMO, it boils down to a LOT of coaching changes in too many sports in too short a time. Compounding that is fans/parents/alumni that are used to winning and looking to find someone/something to blame (ie..."politics"). It's no more complicated than that.
