Are you capable of understanding the term "broad brush"?

In your statement (above), you act as if the entire population of Ashland (approximately 25,000 people or so) all came to the games, openly trashed the Rose Hill kids, and collectively heaped verbal abuse on them.

Let's cut to the chase.
Are there some people in Ashland that wouldn't mind seeing Rose Hill get their clocks cleaned every time they step on the floor? Absolutely.
Are there some people at Ashland that will carry a grudge against Rose Hill for a long time to come? Absolutely.
Are there some people at Ashland that confuse the actions of the powers that be in the school with the church itself? Absolutely.

That does not mean that everyone that attended Ashland, or plays for Ashland, or roots for Ashland feels that way.

If you want to point out that Dicky Martin has been less than kind to Rose Hill during his broadcasts, then please, do so. I don't think anyone in their right mind would argue the point.

You and I both know that some people at Rose Hill openly recruited some of Ashland's kids in the past. Notice that I do not simply throw out statements that indicate that everyone at Rose Hill is a cheater? That would be a lie.

As for the signs, the Ashland administration attends every basketball game - home and away. They do not allow the student body to display abusive signs, and will stop any chants that cross that line. It might take them a minute to see a sign, or understand what is being said during a chant, but they do stop it. Russell also does the same thing at their games. I've seen Ashland/Russell games where the student body is moved an entire section of the stands, to keep things under control. High school kids do push the line. Heck, college kids push the line. In our region, it is (for my money) very much under control.

I didnt paint everyone in Ashland with a broad brush. I named Mark Swift, Dicky Martin and some fans. Im going to put this topic to bed on my side of the county line. Lets go to the games, root on our team and hope for a good competitive year out of everyone.
