Parents don't always have total control over what their children turn out like but it is always a start. Kids start developing a good sense of what they feel is right or wrong and they grow and think about that and base decisions around it. I don't know why I am so against the things that I am because I have a good idea and it is contributed to both how I was raised, what I have saw, and how I feel about them. I don't smoke because I have seen the effects of it on people that I love, I don't do drugs because the people that could have had the world have nothing now because of them, I don't sleep around because if pregnant I wouldn't get to go to college and do everything that I wanted to do as a teenager and adult because my life was changed by the birth of a child. I would have to get a job sooner without the schooling that I want and not even in the career that I want, I would not get to travel as I plan, not have the finance that I want, etc.

Parents are so important and everyone on here that has kids know that they are impacting their children in so many ways and to you that have teenagers, give them time, let them know what other people just a couple of years older than them say now. I grew up some and see so many things in a new light and they will eventually do the same.
