Well I have been setting here for a couple of days just reading, now I have to open my big mouth!
I hate when people refer to a team as being down. If Russell does not make it to the state championship game, they will be considered down compaired to the last 3 or 4 years, with the exception of last year. Russell 3A is ranked #5 in AP poll this week and that IMO that is very good. As far as a weak schedule, not really, of course Russell has normal district games and then awesome larger schools such as Ashland and Ironton. The only team Russell plays that is smaller is Raceland. I am not sure how anyone can come to that conclusion as a weak schedule. I loved playing Ironton this year, although the outcome was not what I wanted but is was good experiance for the team.

I know rankings and who beat who and by how much don't mean sqat! But when making a decision of who will win this game it sure does help making that factor.

Russell's defense will certainly have to step up from last week, but I have seen the Big D really look good this year. I am sure Coach Morris will have them ready. Jones is a animal, Raceland will undoubtedly have a very tough time holding him. Will Rice is another great advantage on offense for Russell.

I see Russell winning this one with ease.

I almost forgot IMO Raceland does have the crappest field in the area. As far as 1A schools, Fairview does has a good WHOLE field.
