Kragthorpe's future will rely on his success or lack there of against UK and the success of Petrino at Arkansas in my opinion. I do believe that he is a good mid-level coach, but I don't think that he is a good fit for Louisville and vice versa. I also think that Weis is all but gone at Notre Dame, the media is hyping up this team as vastly improved and with all the returning straters on the roster it will be hard to keep a coach that has never won with the players that he recruited. Miami's coaching position will be saved only if the Hurricanes can make a serious run at the ACC and show vast improvement over last year. Three straight top 10 recruiting classes has to pay dividends eventrually. I also believe that a icon will hang it up this year, Bobby Bowden will probably retire after this season as his quest to out win Paterno took a hit with NCAA sanctions and FSU having to pay Jimbo Fischer an $8 milliion buy-out if he is not the headcoach by I believe 2010. I look for other big name coaches to possibly be on the move as well. Like I mentioned before I do not believe that Mike Leach will stay at Texas Tech after the debacle that was his contract extension talks following last season and other major universities' interest in him. I believe that the university president has damaged the relationship between the administration and Leach and he'll bolt to the highest bidder. Look for Colorado to make a change as well if Hawkins doesn't show improvement with the Buffalos. Sure they were rock bottom when he took over, but this team has had success in the not so distant past and I feel that the wide open Big 12 north is a winnable division and the university will give him a chance or else this year or next. Rutgers is another program that MAY be looking for a new coach depending on what else happens around the NCAA. It has been widely rumored that Schiano wants the Penn State job and even though his prestige has fallen a bit should be the front runner should Paterno finally retire following this season. This wouldn't be a "big time" job, but would be a mid-level job that could impact big-time programs with them losing assistants.
What coaches would you all like to see at your school and why?
