Walter Johnson would have set the stage for all other pitchers. Without Cy Young, we would have another baseball record that was atleast attainable. No one will EVER match Cy's all time mark for victories. But then again, we don't have pitchers that throw 3-4 games per week and have 50+ starts per season.....

I'm not even sure if there will be a 300-win pitcher again, at least not any time soon.

Back in the day when Cy played, pitchers weren't in as much of an abundance as they are now. So, pitchers would have to pitch a whole lot more back then.
