So it don't matter what kind of numbers you put up if you don't beat any better teams even though these numbers were put up against these better teams......makes alot a sense......

It does when the person on the mediocre team is shooting 50 shots a game and the person on the good team is shooting half that many. When the person on the bad team is still scoring in the second half against the benchwarmers from another team and the player from the good team is sitting on the bench most of the second half.
