I live in Pike County and ER has been the joke of the county since the formation of the school. Elkhorn City was always competitive in the single A district, and being a triple A school, ER cant beat even middle of the road single a schools. Phelps generally gives them all they can handle and they typically only dress 25 kids.

Phelps isn't laughing in other sports though. You can't be top notch in every sport that you compete in. There were always feeders schools that had programs from age 5-13 that gave these kids a foundation in a sport. Football was a program that was pretty much absent at Feds Creek and Millard did not compete as a high school. Rome wasn't built in a day.
