I think it is great that Coach Turner has been working with her team this summer as all coaches should. Yeah it is common sense, it is the parents who decide where their kids attend school but the coach and basketball program could play a role in why they are leaving not everyone elses fault.

Coach Turner was asked to coach with a long-term commitment to build the girls' basketball program. As a matter of fact, a parent of one of the girls rumored to be leaving made the suggestion that she should be hired as the coach.

You are right, the program does belong to the coach and she is more than willing to do whatever she can to develop this program to be competitive, like the days when she played. Considering that none of the faculty signed up to be the coach and none will assist her as a coach, I think she is doing as well as can be expected at this time. In your opinion, what should she do?

What do you mean by "coach and basketball program could play a role in why they are leaving not everyone elses fault"? What was Coach Turner supposed to do? She wanted those girls to continue playing at ACHS and thought they would, then in May heard they were leaving. Why would a coach feel the need to 'recruit' girls who were already playing on the team and in the high school's feeder school?
