Joe Friday Are you saying that Mr. Hancock cannot coach at High School anymore? Thought the board of education was changing this.

You are right Mr. Hancock work hard for the kids like other is just there for the money you don't sit back and loose kids like Shepherd and Kidd and Jones. I talk to Coach Hancock and he said if he was the head coach he would have been at there door asking them why they where leaving and if they was anything he could do keep them from leaving. They told me that they had not been contacted by anyone at AC asking them to stay.

One other thing that is killing AC basketball they have no summer program at all the other teams are playing game and getting better AC has done nothing and you cannot build your program like this. And these girls said that is one of the reason they look esle where that they wanted to get better.

My girls will not be attending AC either after they leave the middle school if things does not change.

And Mr. Martin needs support yes he does for sure but he will not get this because he is not a people person and Sis Hall will tell you that. Martin got to change before he is going to get any support at all. I can recall Mr. Hancock going down to the High School and trying to help Mr. Martin with the girls team and my daugther was there also and Mr. Martin say right in front of Hancock " IF YOU ALL HAD A MIDDLE SCHOOL COACH I WOULD NOT HAVE TO SHOW THIS" and Hancock took it until he had enough. Martin could be a good coach but he is got to change some of his ways.

I am curious as to what you feel specifically needs to be changed at the high school? You say you have two children at the middle school, is your concern academics or athletics? I know for a fact that Coach Turner has had open gym but it is the parents' responsibility to get their players there and support the coach in her efforts to build the team and the program - what else can she do?
