I didn't realize there was a new tax on alcohol.

Well, my family has been keeping up with this ever since we noticed that there were full page ads (in the Lex herald... if you don't just use it for birdcage liners like most of us) with call back numbers for comment... on the issue of what to do with the tax dollars generated...

I was quite appalled that some folks actually didn't "see the need" in sharing with "dry" counties... no... not really. I wasn't appalled... I didn't eve raise a brow. This is always the way it is with some factions of Kentuckians. (The diane sawyer types) I did, however, think it might make for a nice discussion... since the Gov. signed the bill... wonder how long it will be before he finds a way to attach that to the gambling bill he wants to enact to "save the day" and "fill the coffers of his cronies"? Shew... I'm gonna stop myself right there... that's a whole "nuther" thread!
