Have her to go to add remove programs in the control panel.. Then remove the msn.
Then go to windows firewall in control panel and turn off the windows firewall.. Then download adaware se from http://www.lavasoft.com and install adaware se and run it. Then download msn install again and test it. If it works then turn your firewall back on. If the firewall ask you "do you want to allow this connection" say yes, always.
