Is the end of Pikeville College Football near?
#11
There is no way that Pikeville or Valley could beat PC...I know you are comparing them, but use a good team like Trinity or someone....lol. I used to coach there my last season and I got the academic reports for some of those student-athletes....you'd be surprised at the ACT score of many that come in from out of state. It does help those that want to graduate, but you can't make those that think they are going to the league or bigger than the system go to class. That's why you have 100 there in the fall and then only 30 back in the spring. What hurt that program is that they, IMO, recruited color (Bryan) thinking they were going to take them to the promise land quick....you look at the elite nine, the first recruiting class there that built that program to what it was for a few years until Mynatt left. Those boys (Justin "Jutty" Gordon, Larry B, Hank Mullins, Joe Spears, Antwan Brown, Quinton Collins, Derrick "Big Show" Sillas, etc...) all graduated and were embraced by the community because they were great players and even better people that made something of themselves. When they went away with that and those type of kids is where they messed up.
