The 8th grade girls had a good team and won the championship. They crushed Boyd County in the final game. Now, they are playing freshman, JV, and some varsity. The freshman team has been beaten badly twice by Boyd County, the last time at Ashland, with Boyd sending only 8 players, four 6th and 7th graders, and one freshman. It is asking a lot of these young girls to play at the JV and varsity level the way they played at the eighth grade level. Maybe they could concentrate on being a good freshman team before taking on the pressure of JV and varsity.
