To say Elliott was a step or two slower or tired is a WEAK excuse. Valley played 2 games prior as well and was ready and wanted the game more. Elliott played 2 very easy games and they could have rested their starters a lot earlier if they didn't. If Elliott was tired then that shows a lack of conditioning on their part.

No excuses Shelby Valley was the better team flat out. Stop making excuses for Elliott.

I wasnt making excuses for them, that was posted in a earlier post. My boy plays for Valley, I wouldnt make excuses for the other team. The only excuse I can come up for Elliott Co. is that they might have thought Valley was going to lay down to them and be intimidated by playing the number 1 team in the state. I really dont think Valley would be intimidated by any high school team in this great state.
