Eastern, J town and Ballard all three belong in the state's top 5 with Scott County and Holmes. These three teams are all state championship caliber but would likely all struggle against Scott County's inside presence. The fast pace and high flying athletes on these teams is unreal to watch and for any of you who have not seen these teams play need to come out to Bellarmine come the regional tournament.

It was Ian Chiles who missed Ballard's final shot...he Cox and Keisten Jones are studs and have the potential to carry Ballard very far this year and they are much improved since early this season.

Eastern's Jason Couch has to be the coach of the year in the 7th and possibly in the state this year. Down the stretch against Ballard he ran a couple set plays that were as good as you will find in high school basketball while the other two superior teams in Louisville would have run one on one streetball like they do in every situation in every game. He woke his team up in the second half and when Eastern fell down by 12 in the 3rd, he called a timeout, set up a play, and the Eagles went on an 8-0 run to gain the momentum. It was great to watch from right behind his bench. Also keep in mind he is doing all this with primarily sophomores and no violations on his record. He is a class act and fun to watch on the sidelines.

Eastern and Ballard played great on the bigger college floor while JTown struggled past Trinity and got whipped most of the game against Ballard.
There is just too much talent and only one ball out there for JTown's 7 studs to handle...maybe too many playmakers having trouble meshing...their victory over Eastern came without Thomas Jackson (my favorite player in the 7th) which allowed Cosby to take over without looking over at the bench on every possession
