Louisville Eastern 66 - Ballard 59

Ballard plays a very up tempo style of play that, like you said, does not utilize a lot of set plays. To an untrained eye its helter skelter, but I wouldn't call it "streetball". Renner has been very very successful with this style of play. He has a state championship and a runner-up using this style of play. As a matter of fact it seems since 98 the majority of the top programs in Kentucky utilize this style of play. Ballard, Scott County, and Holmes come to mind. If this is street ball maybe more of the lesser successfull coaches should utilize it.

Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with walking the ball up the floor, playing a 2-3 zone, running set plays untill you get a great shot, and beating people 46-42. Its just not my cup of tea. Covington Catholic and Graves County have had some success with the slower paced game through the years.
