Let's not drink the Cool-Aid!!!!
The Bengals beat three horrible football teams down the stretch. The Redskins just tanked it. Thie team, once they were knocked out of the playoffs just gave up. The Brown's win would have been no different that playing against the Bengals practice squad.
The Browns did not want to be on the field. You know a team has no interest when they didn't run out of the tunnel at halftime until the referee was taking the ball to Shayne Graham for the second half kick-off. No warm-ups, nothing. That's a team that didn't even want to be there.
Today's game reminded me of the scab games of the walk-out. Who the heck was even on the field for both teams? This was a miserable KC team who was playing for a draft pick. The Bengals sit both Chad and TJ without Carson and they completely dominate the Chiefs Defense. Cmon, the Chiefs are horrible.
I'm sorry, I not going to take much away from what the Bengals did down the stretch. The starting line-up today was virtually the same line-up for the last 10 weeks of the season. Benson looks awesome, but where was this prior to the Redskins game? I'm not buying that the Bengals all of a sudden clicked. They are still a long ways away from being a competitive football team until they revamped the lines on both sides of the ball. The past three weeks did not prove that they had solidified any line spots, all it proved was the lines were less inept than the lines that they played. And that's not saying a whole lot when the 3 teams were as bad or worse than the Bengals.
