Well, nearly everyone celebrates the holiday. As much as we hate to admit it, it is just a gathering holiday rather than the celebration of the birth of Christ for most.
So, being liberal and all, I saw if you are religious, then you should say merry christmas. If not, then don't pretend to be, and say happy holidays.
Heck, just say whatever you want, enjoy the holiday, and try to have a great time.
