Another nice win for the Eagles as they move to 6-0. This one came a little tougher than the rest as Fern Creek led after the 1st quarter. They played a tough 3-2 zone, which troubled the Eagles much as it did when CAL employed it against them earlier. It seems that is the only way to slow down Eastern, note I said slow, not stop. Playing man-to-man, Fern Creek was no match and once the Eagles set their press it was game over.
Chris Dowe had another nice game for Eastern with a couple nice blocks, several assists and a thunderous dunk. He did miss a dunk over one Fern Creek player that would've have posterized the poor kid. Also a good game for Delquan Thomas who penetrated and finished almost at will.
Eastern is looking as tough as ever heading into the Capital City Invitational in Frankfort on Sat.
Congrats Eastern, and kept it goin boys.
