NFL stealing from hs and college play books?
#8
BO1988 Wrote:Watching the nfl this year, i've noticed alot of odd things. "pole cat", "pistol", "wild cat", and the "wishbone" have been utilized. Are defenses getting so good that poeple are throwing out everything they know, or are they looking at the successes of college and even hs teams? just thought i'd make a comment on it. The past several years, its been 1 or 2 back sets and spread em' out. Now their boxin em' in and punching it. Personally I like the running attacks some have developed. What do others think?
I think I read this same thing in an article by Freddie Maggard. I think you have to be able to do one thing well (less is more), but still be able to adapt to what the defense is hitting you with. I think colleges are influenced by the talents of their skill players.
