Why would he come back now when we have no shot at the playoffs and no offense line which would risk hurting himself more?

Tommy John would apparantly make his arm even better, but they say it will put him out for at least a year from now (11.6 months- close enough, get off my back ), which our window of opportunity is closing, and I don't think I'm satisfied with waiting that long.

The article says that he'd be back by the summer, which is amazing, but he doesn't want to abandon the team, regardless of the record, but I'd say go for it if he'll be back by summer and even stronger.
