Don't play it the whole game. But play it some. In a zone you get a lot more help and don't have to constantly be running around tiring yourself out. Man wasn't even working, so what evidence does that give to stay in it? Now if you go zone and they beat you worse then by all means go back to Man, but at least try to stop them.

That's the problem is the help defense. That's what was killing UK last night. They were playing a sagging man to man with help. When VMI would start to drive, you would have help, and leave a man wide open from the perimeter. That is exactly what a zone defense will give you. The only defense that would have worked last night would have been a man defense with no help. Just play straight up. Anything else would have been an even worse 3 point fest.
