So your explanation for the loss is that VMI has superior talent to that of what the product is at UK right now? Bullcrap dude. VMI doesn't have any 3-5 star recruits, I'm pretty positive Gardner Webb didn't, or about San Diego last season at Rupp too?

I can pretty much agree with everything Panther Thunder is saying on this thread as well.

There is no excuse in the book to lose this game to VMI at home. Just look at the powerhouse teams that have came in and beat us at Rupp in the young Coach G era. It's an absolute joke.

It's the same stuff as last year that hurts this team (no adjustments on defense) Why as a coach would you NEVER run a zone defense? You're just setting yourself up for failure.

Word has it the team had a hard paced two hour practice before the game as well. Tell me how much sense it makes to run your team ragged before the game against a team that loves to run up and down the floor.

I love UK Basketball and I'll support the team the best I can, but don't expect things to get a lot better in the Billy Gillispie era here. He can recruit pretty good, but if you have no idea what to do with it then you're hurting.

And trust me guys, we have had superior talent to teams like G-Webb, San Diego, and VMI. Who should the blame be put on? You have to have your team prepared for every game. So far BCG hasn't done that, and refuses to make any adjustments.

We have to give him time, but similar to when the hire was made I'm still going to be skeptical about him. I just want to see in game adjustments, and actual coaching.

I do think it is hilarious though that fans on here thought we were amazing after beating a couple of terrible teams in scrimmages while Louisville was squeaking by them, and now everybody knew we weren't that great all along.

We'll get better, but most fans once again had unrealistic expectations coming into the year.
