Those Pikeville teams and some of the others were probably better. But the 2004 Belfry Pirates were the best team I've ever watched. I can only comment on things I have seen...and Doug Howard is the best football player I've ever seen personally. With the exception of Lawerence county and the first Prestonsburg game...none of the other games were even close. The state championship game was not as close as the score would lead you to believe. Of course they lost to Ironton..but nobody in Class AA is gonna beat them. So, I'm not saying their the best ever..just the best I've ever watched personally.
