Yes...but I wouldn't say, "That poor old Old School, what with his unthinking, blind allegiance to a philosophy that damages his own interests...." A lot of people considered the policies, thought or not thought about the political leanings seemingly built into their wiring, and voted McCain or Obama or Nader or Barr or whatever.
