Pikeville's Daniel Harmon is a great running back. However, the lack of line play (not to mention Coach Copley tagging him - even now - as a Mr. Football candidate) has made this a disappointing season.

I have read (and heard on the radio) how Harmon is a Mr. Football candidate. The kid is a good Class 1A running back. I am not bashing him at all. From what I hear, he is a great kid and a dandy baseball player.

But here's some statistics that I found online: Going into the Prestonsburg game (which he finished with under 100 yards), Harmon had 965 yards and 16 touchdowns. If my memory is correct, he rushed for six touchdowns against Betsy Layne and a school record 7 TDs against South Floyd. He rushed for well over 500 yards in those two games.

So, that means, this coach proclaimed Mr. Football candidate has rushed for 3 touchdowns and 400 plus yards in five games. That's not something for Coach Copley to brag about and it places Harmon in a difficult situation, being referred to as the best in the mountains (or the state at that)

Paintsville has speed and they spread the field. Pikeville has serious line problems and they really cannot hit like Pikeville teams in the past. If Harmon shows up big and Tyler Baker makes some big plays, it could be close.

I say Paintsville wins 42-28
