No games Tuesday, just a 7th grade semi-final game with LCC - vs- Sebastian at Sebastian.

This game was a barn burner between the Eagles and the Cougars. Cougars jumped out early with a 20-6 lead at halftime and the offense sputtered from that point on due to FUMBLES. The 2nd half for the Cougars was a mess.

Big Ed, THOMCAT and Mr. Slate were right. much aThey did throw on the Cougars pretty much at will and I was wrong.

Now Big Ed, THOMCAT and Mr. Slate, you were wrong when you said the kids from Letcher County would roll over and LAY DOWN in the 2nd half. You were also wrong when you said it looked like they had never been hit in the mouth so eat some crow buddies. You just thought you would roll on over here in Letcher County and skip right into the championship game and the Cougars were more than willing to ruin your plans for the championship game.

That said the Eagles played like the 2nd best team we have played against this year (Patriots) were and still the best team we have seen but that aside your team was outstanding tonight. Not just #10 and #34 either, the whole bunch played their hearts out and I was proud to see two outstanding teams on that field. I heard the LCC coaches talking afterward and they were saying that this team will kill Perry next week and bragging on the Eagle team. This game was almost as fun to watch as the Cougar/Patriot game earlier in the year. Johnson Central you have one heck of a future over there with your high school team because these boys can play and play hard.

I will now eat some crow, I picked the Cougars in a landslide and I was wrong for that. I underestimated the Eagles and they proved me wrong, they came to win a ball-game and they almost did.

Big Ed, watch the tape, you will see that your boy caught the ball after only 7 yards and the ball was dead at that point. The coaches had it playing on their television because they said you complained after the game. It was not even close where your boy caught the ball, it was a correct call so no need to complain to the powers that be because I heard Coach Howard say that he had it on tape and if they wanted to b---- and moan he would glady drive over and give it to the commish if they wanted him to. This game was called fairly and they even had the assigning secretary Mike Melton of this region on the crew doing this one. Just admit you were beat tonight by a team that was not better than yours but just as good.

Chris Tyree, Dalton Taylor had great games tonight and packed the Cougars to the win. The defense stepped up when it had to at the end but boys you better fix that pass defense or you will end the season just like you did last year (2nd) place.

I beleive if you will look back at my previous posts, I said nothing negetive about Letcher Central or the game in general. My first post said that your prediction of a large win was very interesting. My next post said that I would be there to support the kids and that both teams should, and I quote, strap 'em on, step on the field and may the best team win. Nothing negetive on my part. The only one that I saw that felt it necessary to write a book on this site was you. Now to your reference to Mike Melton. If he is the assigning secretary for your region, then I feel sorry for your region. Our team had opportunities to win but could not get it done. Letcher has some very good athletes and the future looks good for you high school team. I am proud of our players for their determination and the heart that they showed.
