I don't know about JCHS, but with Belfry, we have to play smaller schools sometimes due to either lack of anyone else to play, or because of rivalry (Pikeville).

Belfry has a lot of problems scheduling even 4 & 5 A opponents, because most of them don't want to get beaten by a smaller school. On the same note, we don't want to travel all the way to Lexington or Louisville just to play a football game (and they wouldn't want to travel here either).

I'd really like to see the old Belfry/Pburg rivalry started back up. It would be beneficial to both teams IMO, both having a quality opponent each year to measure against.

Of course, what I'd REALLY like to see is something inspirational at East Ridge, Pike Central, and Magoffin, along the lines of what Hager's done at SCHS.
